Why I Started Alexandra Love Publishing
For a long time, I thought being a writer meant doing everything alone.
You write the book alone. You edit it alone. You figure out publishing alone. Then somehow you’re also expected to market the book, design graphics, build a website, run social media, and convince people to read your work.
The more I learned about the publishing world, the more I realized how overwhelming that process can be—especially for independent authors.
That realization is one of the reasons I started Alexandra Love Publishing.
The Missing Piece in the Writing World
Throughout my journey as a writer, I tried to find communities where authors could genuinely support each other. While there are many writing groups and online spaces, something often felt missing.
Many writers were struggling with the same challenges:
Understanding how publishing works
Finding reliable editors or designers
Learning how to market their work
Staying motivated long enough to finish their books
Writing itself is already a demanding creative process. When you add the business side of publishing on top of that, it can start to feel overwhelming very quickly.
I realized that what many writers need isn’t just advice—they need community and collaboration.
Building Something Bigger Than One Author
Alexandra Love Publishing originally started as a simple outlet for my own work.
At first it was just a way to organize my writing projects and experiment with the process of publishing online. I wanted to understand what it would be like to take a book from an idea all the way to publication.
But as I continued learning about the publishing industry, my vision for the brand began to grow.
Instead of being just a personal publishing label, I started imagining something larger—a space where writers could connect, collaborate, and support each other through the creative process.
My long-term goal is to help build a network where independent authors can access the resources they need to bring their stories to life.
The Power of Creative Collaboration
Writing may start as a solitary activity, but publishing rarely happens in isolation.
Behind every successful book, there are usually several people involved in the process. Editors help refine the story. Designers create the visual identity of the book. Marketing specialists help the book reach its audience.
Many new authors don’t know where to find these people or how to build those relationships.
One of the things I hope to accomplish through Alexandra Love Publishing is creating connections between writers and the professionals who help bring stories into the world.
Because when creative people work together, the final result is often stronger than anything one person could build alone.
Supporting the Next Generation of Writers
Another part of my vision for Alexandra Love Publishing is creating a safe and encouraging space for writers who are just starting their journeys.
Finishing a book can feel like an impossible task when you’re doing it for the first time. The publishing world can also seem intimidating, especially when there’s so much conflicting advice online.
I want to help make that process feel more accessible.
Whether through blog posts, writing resources, or community spaces, my goal is to share what I’ve learned and help other writers feel less alone in the process.
A Creative Studio and a Community
Today, Alexandra Love Publishing continues to evolve.
It’s a place where I share my own writing journey, publish stories, and experiment with creative projects. But it’s also becoming something more—a creative studio built around storytelling, collaboration, and supporting independent authors.
Writing may begin with a single idea in someone’s mind, but bringing that idea to life often takes a community.
And that’s exactly the kind of space I hope Alexandra Love Publishing will continue to grow into.
